The Inventory Specialist works across the Sales and Lab departments to ensure that Green Dot Labs’ inventory is accurate. The Inventory Specialist will work with the Sales Ops, Order Fulfillment, and Packaging teams to coordinate and maintain accurate records of all inventory.
Inventory Control:
- Support and participate in inventory and cycle count activities including reconciliation
- Participate in daily and monthly cyclical inventory audits
- Bi-weekly audits of WIP inventory
- Receive Finished Goods and enter into inventory systems
- Work with Order Fulfillment/Packaging to identify cause of variances to daily inventory
- Receive product that has passed testing and process into inventory
- Maintain organized storage of all inventory
- Assist with audits of packaging goods
- Assist in selection of batches for packaging based on demand and flavor profile
- Identify and correct inventory data discrepancies in tracking systems
- Finish tags in Metrc
- Receive rejected/returned product from orders to return product in inventory tracking systems
- Maintain receiving/shipping areas in a neat and orderly fashion
- Receive and check inbound goods for accuracy and place in proper location as well as keeping all inventory organized
Order Fulfillment:
- Provide back up to Order Fulfillment by assisting with order assembly and QC
- Receive and organize shipments of supplies and dry goods
Compliance & Record Keeping Tasks
- Maintain Finished Goods physical inventory in inventory tracking systems
- Maintain Finished Goods Inventory in Metrc and all required reporting systems
- Be a super-user for the Metrc system by attending all trainings and maintain current knowledge of the system
- Maintain confident comprehension and ensure compliance of MED Medical and Retail Rules and City of Boulder regulations as they apply to post-extraction production and delivery
- Participate in compliance audits
- Maintain detailed knowledge of all GDL policies, procedures, SOPs pertinent to labeling, inventory control and packing/transporting cannabis.
- Participate in all safety trainings and abide by safety policies
Work Environment:
- Standard 40-hour workweek applies
- Working hours will be spent in the lab and office
- Moderate physical activity such as walking and lifting, bending and pushing
- Ability to stand for long periods of time

- Possesses physical strength , and stamina required to stand, sit or walk for long periods of time (able to bend, push, pull and reach)
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
- Attention to detail
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge to new technology, systems, and processes
- Good communication, organization, time management, and mathematical skills
- Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills required
- Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
Education, Experience, & Misc Requirements:
- 2+ year experience in licensed MMJ facility desirable
- High School Diploma or equivalent education required
- Must be 21 years of age or older and maintain current MED badge
- Must have reliable form of transportation
- Experience working with tools/equipment including ladders, pallet jack is a plus
- Previous Cannabis warehousing / distribution experience a plus
- Prior inventory experience preferred
- Experience with metric and inventory tracking systems preferred
Location: Boulder
Salary: $18-$22 / hour
